A huge congratulations goes out to Beyonce and Jay-Z who have welcomed their first child into the world! According to E! Online, the divalicious 30-year-old delivered a daughter via scheduled C-section on Saturday night at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.  And the name of Baby Beyonce? Blue Ivy Carter. 

Despite initial rumours that the tot was named Ivy Blue, Jay-Z is telling friends it is indeed Blue Ivy. Speculation is rife that the couple chose the name after Jay Z’s album ‘Blueprint’ and Beyonce’s album ‘IV’ (4 in Roman numerals) while Carter is Jay-Z's surname (his real name being Shawn Carter).

Naturallement, with such a unique name and an abundance of superstar genes, Mini-Bey is bound to cause a global sensation. At just one day old, she’s already trending on Twitter thanks to an abundance of congratulations, including one from Rihanna who tweeted ‘Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.’

According to the New York Daily News, Beyonce checked into the Upper East Side hospital under the name Ingrid Jackson on Saturday, booking out the entire fourth floor of the hospital for a cool $1.3million. Takeaway food and bottles of red wine were said to have been delivered to the hospital's private wing over the weekend.
