Dj Larizzle has triumphed his way to success, starting from eight long hardworking years ago. London born to Ghanaian parents, Mr Larry Koomson’s alter ego known to you as your very own renowned DJ Larizzle, supplying his own endless talents in all genres of music, depending on what mood you are in, you will inevitably be infused with sounds from House to Hip Hop to Afrobeats to even a bit of Dubstep and much more, making Larizzle one of the most versatile Dj’s in the UK.
In every success story there is a solid foundation, Dj Larizzle's talent began and escalated in London's prestigious west-end. Club Metra, Penthouse, Funky Buddha, Aura and Stanza are just a few of the clubs that helped to enable his early reputation as a Dj. Fortunately for Larizzle, this had a knock on effect… internationally. Amsterdam have been lucky enough to have a listen, an enticing fun filled yearly residency in Aiya Napa, Cyprus, inevitably become the pioneering Dj to take the UK Funky House sound to Solvenia’s night life, for the first time, and more. Larizzle has also become well know for his extensive mixtape releases supporting a variety of musical genres which have received thousands of downloads worldwide. Amongst these eight years of hard work, Dj Larizzle officially joined STORMPARTIES, a UK collective of entertainment providers. Larizzle is also apart of a project know as The TRENDSETTERS, which provide monthly podcasts through iTunes.
Wiz Khalifa, Nas, Damian Marley, Flo-Rida, Neyo, Chipmunk, SWAY, JLS, French Montana, Giggs, and Donaeo are just a small number of talented artists Dj Larizzle has collaborated with. Tim Westwood, Trever Nelson, Artful Dodger, Pendulum, Heartless Crew and Grooverider are some of the Dj’s that Larizzle has been revered to work with. Larizzle has also worked for a number of recognised urban radio stations including: Phatbeats.net, DejaVu Fm and Delightfm.com. From this experience, Dj Larizzle has been able to develop his skills to become an accomplished radio presenter and from this, has allowed him to have regular guest features on BBC Radio 1Xtra in addition to a regular show on London's Bang Radio. Larizzle has also had TV show appearances on BBC Three and MTV.
It’s not just the Larizzle musical fan base that support and sponsor his talent, Jack & Jones, a leading worldwide clothing brand also support his work and became his official sponsors from 2010.
Larizzle was also a winner at the 2012 Official Mixtape Awards ceremony where he won the award for 'Best Mixtape Compilation'. In addition to this, Larizzle has been nominated for a further five awards at the 2013 ceremony.
It would be safe to say he is a man of talent and style, also one to take home to the mother. Obtaining two degrees, one in Biomedical science and the other a Molecular Medicine and Cancer research Masters degree, which inevitably doesnt make him your average Dj.
